March 2016, 2017 model year
Specs released on the 2017 BMW 330e iPerformance were released by BMW. The 330e was supposed to hit dealers in the summer of 2016, but started trickling onto lots in March 2016.
It’s the fourth plug-in vehicle that BMW released, after the i3, i8, and the X5 eDrive40e.
Starting price in the USA was set at $44,695 plus a $995 destination and handling charge.
The lithium ion battery pack is 7.6 kWh, with a useable amount of 5.7 kWh, and receives an ell-electric range rating from the EPA of 14 miles, and 40 kilometers on the NEDC test cycle.
Acceleration from 0-60 mph is in 5.9 seconds thanks to the 180 hp four cylinder gasoline engine and the 87 hp electric motor.
