In a test conducted in Rome, Italy, consisting of 150 km drive with 45% in city, 45% extra-urban, and 10% highway, the Hyundai Kona EV was the most efficient of the 6 electric vehicles tested. In the test, the Kona Electric used only 13.1 kWh per 100 km driven.

Battery and Motor Specs for the Kona Electric
The electric motor in the 2018 Kona EV is a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum torque of of 99 kW (135 HP), a torque of 395 Nm, and can move the car up to a maximum speed of 167 km/h.
The lithium-ion polymer battery pack will come in 2 sizes – a 39.2 kWh pack that will likely only be available in Europe and Asis, and a larger, 64 kWh pack for the North American markets.
With the 7.2 kW on-board charger, charging time using a Level 2 EVSe, on standard 240 Volt AC plug is approximately 6 hours and 10 minutes. Connected to a 100 kW DC quick charger can charge the battery to 80% capacity in as little as 54 minutes.
Kona Electric Performance
Acceleration of the electric vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h is 9.3 seconds. Overall efficiency is rated at 14.8 kWh per 100 km, which translates into an overall electric range of up to 300 km for the 39.2 kWh battery pack.
For the larger, 64 kWh battery pack model of the 2019 Kona Electric, 0-100km acceleration is quicker at only 7.2 seconds, and overall electric range is up to 470 km per charge.

As best as we can tell, from recent press releases, the KONA Electric Ultimate will only be available on the 64 kWh version, while the SEL is only for the 39.2 kWh version.
