In a press release on March 7th, 2014, Nissan said that global production of the e-NV200 will start in May 2014.
In the Summer of 2014, the e-NV200 became available across most of Europe. As of September 2014, sales have already been registered in Germany, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, France and Belgium.
North America
Neither the United States or Canada are listed on Nissan’s E-NV200 minisite under the ‘go to product site’ menu, which we can only assume means it isn’t going to be available in the very near future. On the Nissan USA site, the e-NV200 is still listed as a concept/future vehicle.
Netherlands
In July 2014, the Netherlands apparently had 4 e-NV200 electric vans registered. It would appear the van is already available!
Norway
As of August, 2014, the e-NV200 is available in Norway. 14 of the minivans reached customers by the end of the month.
United Kingdom
As far as we can tell from the e-NV200 page on Nissan UK’s website, the electric commercial vehicle is now available.
Japan Availability
On June 9, 2014, Nissan announced the e-NV200 will go on sale in October 2014 at dealers throughout Japan.
Iceland Availability
The e-NV200 has been selling in Iceland since October 2014.
Austria
As of August 2014, Austrians can buy the e-NV200 electric van.
Estonia
The Nissan NV200 electric launched in Estonia in July 2014.
Germany
In July 2014, the first e-NV200 in Germany was delivered to its owner.
Spain
Spain got the e-NV200 in November 2014.
Sweden
In the last 3 months of 2014, 24 e-NV200s were sold in Sweden.
The Nissan e-NV200 is the world’s first mass-produced electric van. It will come in cargo and passenger configurations. The drive train is largely the same as the Nissan LEAF, but will obviously have a different shape and location for the lithium-ion battery pack.
